The classes, which are included in Section 341 of the Indian Constitution, are known as Scheduled Castes.

 

The Central/State Governments have implemented many programmes for the uplift of these sections that are economically, socially, educationally backward.

The Scheduled Caste Development Department works for the uplift of the Scheduled Castes. Under this Department, other eligible castes, other backward classes, and the economically backward forward castes are also given educational aids.
