Industrial sector as in trade and commerce. Government has introduced many
schemes to help them enter the modern employment sector. |

Self
-Employment Scheme |

This aims at giving
financial aid to self-employment
schemes of Scheduled caste.
Applicants are given a Govt. Subsidy
of Rs 1 lakh to start a business
with an investment of Rs.3 lakhs and
for a group of 7 people a subsidy of
3.5 lakhs is given for a business
with investment up to 10.5 lakhs.
Rest of the amount has to amassed
from bank loan. The groups
registered under the Charitable
Societies Act are given this help.
The applicants should belong to
Scheduled Castes and be between
18-40 years of age and should have
completed 8th standard. Applications
should be given to District
Scheduled Caste Development Officer.

Interest free industrial loan |
| |
|
|
Interest free loans
up to Rs.25,000 are given for
starting small-scale industries or
for expanding present ones. The
loans are given to unemployed
Scheduled castes with annual income
below Rs.12,000. Applications should
be given to Scheduled Caste
development Officers of Local
bodies. For this bail of 2 persons
is required. Applicants in
prescribed forms along with caste,
income certificate and a brief
report of the proposed project
should be submitted. The loan amount
should be repaid within 3 years as
twenty yearly installments. |

Apprenticeship for ITI, ITC, Diploma &
Degree holders in Technological field |

Through this scheme
ITC, Engineering diploma,
Engineering degree holders are given
training in Institutions in Public &
Private Sector.
Those who have completed
apprenticeship are given further
training.
During the training period, ITI, ITC
qualified people are given Rs.1000/,
diploma holders Rs.1600/ and degree
holders Rs.1800/- per month as
stipend (In addition to the amount
given by the Institutes).
The training is given for one year.
It is implemented through District
Scheduled Caste Development
Officers. |

Financial
aid to lawyers |
| |
|
|
Legal degree holders once enrolled as lawyers
are allowed Rs.1000/- in the first year for dress and Rs.5000/- for buying legal
books. In 2nd and 3rd year Rs.1000/- is given for dress, Rs.5000/- for books and
Rs.125/ per month as room rent. The amount spent for enrolment as lawyer
(maximum Rs.1550) will also be reimbursed.
Application in prescribed form, caste certificate, copy of mark list of exams,
copy of degree certificate, copy of enrolment certificate and certificate of
senior lawyer should be produced to District Scheduled Caste development
officer. |

Construction of Shopping Complex for Scheduled

This program aims at construction of shopping complexes or
renting of shopping complexes and leasing it to those interested in business
