Fee concession in approved unaided school

   

Students belonging to scheduled caste and other eligible castes studying in approved unaided schools are eligible for fee concession and other benefits.

Students studying in 1 to 7th standard are allowed Rs.1000/ per year and 1/3rd of this amount (Rs.333) as special fees. For students of 8th to 10th standard, an amount of Rs.1500/- is allowed per year and 1/3rd of this amount (Rs.500) as special fees.

   

Benefits to students of self-financing Institutes

   

Scheduled caste students and students of other eligible caste studying in merit seats of government approved self financing institutes like IHRDE, LBS etc. and on those approved by University are given high fee concessions and other eligible benefits.

Applications in prescribed form along with caste certificate, and copy of marks obtained in last exam should be submitted to District Scheduled caste development officer through Institutional Head.

   

Benefits for other Backward Classes

   

Students belonging to other backward classes get fee concession based on their income.

Income limit for +2, VHSC & equivalent course is Rs.20,000 and for degree and equivalent course is Rs.25,000.

   

Fees concession for students of forward castes

   

Students belonging to forward castes are also allowed fee concession for the above courses. The above income limits are applicable.

   

Benefits for Socially & Economically Backward classes

   

Students of socially and economically backward classes as per the Kumarapillai Commission report are eligible for fee concessions for PG, Professional, Technical (Medical, Engineering, Engineering Diploma etc.) courses and courses with special sanction by Govt. subject to the following income limits.

Annual income up to Rs.36, 000 - Fee exemption, lump sum grant
Monthly Stipend
Annual income 36000 to 42000 - Fee exemption
Lump sum grant

The income limit for SEBC students for reservation in professional colleges is 2.5 lakhs per year.
